I wonder if it’ll end up passing the curse to his brother.

I think that the devil is in the details and that the operative word here is ”bind”, has this enchantement really binded Typh? I think it expanded his/her views of the world if anything. I don’t think Typhan-knee his going to loose her ”girls” anytime soon lol.

@ Tj: Actually judging by the width of the guard and the length of the grip that’s a short sword, so not that big :P

@Xenau I Agree. But I was thinking the Word “HE” Sounds like a classic magical over sight. The Sword can break the magic on the “HE” who wields the blade but must be wielded by a male. But Hey bet Neil will like it! No more Mind control enchantments to worry about!

Mwahahahah, but it says the wielder – so what if it only does so WHILE he/she is using the sword? This would only get more confusing! (Put the sword down, bye-bye Typhan-Knee, hello Tiffany!)

Well the curse DID forcefully change Tiff’s personality and battle skill in Urtica’s court not too long ago. That could be considered a “binding” of sorts.

Check the fine print! It might be a Dewitchery Diamond deal!

    Tiff must be thinking …

    “ARE WE THERE YET?!?

Ok, so there is a curse already binding hir, plus another one that seeks to bind hir?

Old Shaman’s sinister eyes are sinister in the last panel

Speaking of “binding”, I never understood what exactly was the *nature* of Fayden’s spell (as opposed to its effect). The magic tome said that unicorns block all hostile magic (it did not make a white/dark distinction, Fayden did) so it most have been a supercharged beneficial spell. This makes the hypothesis that Typhan was supposed to be female somewhat plausible but how would Fayden know this?

He wouldn’t, lurker. But the truth is, only Tiff considered her “curse” to be malevolent, and that’s from her assumptions regarding female inferiority.

I take it as like the Theory of Thermodynamics: Faden tried to vaporize Tiff, or something equally gruesome. The Unicorn affected the spell, forcing it to take on a much more benign form while still baring the the same “quantity of energy.”

Also, Tiff probably needed an attitude adjustment so, not only would it be a benign effect, it would be a “long-term benevolent” spell; “tough-love” if you will.

Also, it is easily debatable whether Tiff is actually “bound.” She can still carry a longsword in one hand and she still thinks, in many ways, the same way as she did as a man; sexual tension with Denver notwithstanding.

Maybe the unbinding will allow her to switch between Typh and Tiff at will (or maybe just when horny/angry depending on which form is currently active)

It will not work. The sword will be a dud. You know why?

Faydens spell was malevolent. He tried, as seen in dark reflections, to turn him into an obedient woman for himself. While the mindcontrol of the spell was blocked by the unicorn, the transformations was not. So yeah their might be a chance to argue about the value of the transformation for him not being malevolent, but Faydens intent was negativ.

I still think that’s the Dewitchery Diamond on the hilt.

It’ll turn out he was under a curse his whole life. He was born a female but his father didn’t want a “weak” daughter.
