Is it *too* sad that I not only know what the two-headed dog was called and where to locate its entry, but I used them enough times that I can quote most of their 1st-2nd edition statistics?
Retconning is wonderful when you can keep it on the downlow. I’ve occasionally revised entire plotlines because the players came up with theories that were more interesting than what I had planned. It may seem a little underhanded, but I think of it as a reward for their involvement to MAKE them right sometimes.
But oh lord, if they catch on then you are in for a world of whining and moaning.
Just finished listening. Instead of fixing the archives for Denver and Tiff’s reading ability, you might consider memory loss as a symptom of Denver’s ‘condition,’ with Tiff not realizing it immediatly because she’s thick. If it happens again, she might pick up on it
